Welcome to Ramblers' Rest
Situated at the bottom of what was once known as Donkey Street in Hayfield, this double fronted cottage is set back off a narrow road but if you arrive by car there is room to park whilst you unload. Afterwards, there is always somewhere close-by to leave the car. However, a car is not a necessity in Hayfield as there are wonderful walks on the doorstep, and the village has plenty to offer the visitor.
The porch leads into the large living room. Here you will find relaxing seating in front of a gas-log fire. You can watch television or DVDs, listen to music or look at the books provided about the local area. The dining area has a table large enough to seat four people.
The kitchen is next to the living room. It has a double electric oven and ceramic hob, separate fridge and freezer, washing machine and microwave. We have tried to supply all the equipment you will need for an enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
After your journey you will be able to make a refreshing drink straight away, as there will be tea, coffee and milk awaiting your arrival.
A spiral staircase goes upstairs to the large bedroom where you will find a comfortable double bed. A dressing room with a wardrobe (and plenty of hangers) leads off from the bedroom, and there is an en-suite bathroom with shower above the white bath.
Outside is a small sheltered garden where you can sit and enjoy breakfast whilst planning your day, or on your return maybe a glass of wine with a bar-b-cue.
Hayfield hosts a number of good places to eat and drink, and there is a post office, village store, newsagent, chemist, hairdressers, antique shop and art gallery in the village. It is well situated for access to the many and varied attractions of the Peak District.
